Letters of Appreciation
August 24, 2010 Re: Assistance given to Brenna Lutes To Whom It May Concern: My daughter Brenna Lutes attended Kentwood Preparatory School for the eighth and ninth grades. They were two of the best years of Brenna’s academic history because of the tremendous teaching and support team that make up Kentwood Prep. My daughter has an “other medical” rating and received a small McKay scholarship to help with her tuition. Fortunately, we were the recipients of funding from AEF for a number of other activities and services. My husband is out of work and on a chemotherapy medication so I am the sole income for our family. Without the contributions from AEF, I couldn’t have afforded the balance of the tuition, supplies, transportation etc. In addition to the basic costs, Brenna would have not been able to participate in many of the school functions such as graduation, clubs, camp and other services. The money that Kentwood receives on behalf of children that can’t financially afford the costs of attending a school like Kentwood is priceless and we are so appreciative of all the we were given. I consider the last two years to be a life changing experience and credit Kentwood and AEF with making this magnificent difference in my child’s life. Without this organization, schools like Kentwood would not be able to provide the same gift for other families. The children that are helped because of the charitable funding are creative, intelligent and talented children that might otherwise never realize their full potential. I thank God everyday for the assistance Kentwood received on Brenna’s behalf and that they helped her realize how truly valuable she is. I will continue to do all that I can to support this worthy and valuable organization and I hope that Kentwood Preparatory will continue the miraculous work they do for many years to come. Sincerely, Marlene Lutes - 954-579-9785 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Speech given at graduation ceremony: My name is Kentranique and I am a student at Kentwood Preparatory High School. I am here tonight to say thank you to everyone at AEF. Because it is only through AEF .that I have been able to achieve everything I have. These past five years have been the best and I've met many friends and teachers that I love very much. Though the past six months haven't been the easiest for me, I'm grateful to come to school to see the faces that make me smile. At my other school, I was shy quiet, made fun of and was very unhappy. Though I have a loving family who has tried to take care of ne and make sure that I'm safe and happy, I feel I have another here at AEF who do the same. I've been through a lot in the past six months, but I don't believe I would've gotten through it without my friends, family and favorite teachers. There are no words to explain how grateful I am to AEF for giving me the opportunity of attending a great school. Thank you again! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This corporation is organized exclusively to be a non-profit, scientific and educational organization as specified in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code. |
